When Alex de Parry founded Ann Arbor Builders, Inc., the sole owner of Mystic Ridge Custom Homes LLC, back in 1971, he was lucky enough to land a few remodeling jobs.  Because he was young and inexperienced, he simply asked his clients what they wanted and then he did it.

By 1976, the company began developing land and building new homes.  A little older, wiser and more experienced, Alex asked himself what single factor had contributed most to his company's sucess.  The answer was simple:  all along he'd been asking clients what they expected...and then doing it.  His own inexperience at the start formed the very foundation of our company's philosophy:  listen to our clients.

Every builder must adhere to the same rigid building codes for safety, design and structural integrity, but the codes don't define quality.  While our homes meet, and often exceed, these codes, they must also meet our standards of quality, and more importantly, yours.  Our quality program has three components:
